What a Weekend!

The weekend started off pretty busy for me...I had 5 cakes to do for the weekend! Friday night we stopped by the ball diamonds to say hi to Daddy and to see if he was gonna call the games. Nope...should know better then that. Then we headed over to Lynne's to see everyone for a bit. She was having a fish fry...we chatted for a bit and then headed home. We would have loved to stay and eat but fried food bothers Loreli's skin for what ever reason. We got home at and then it was bed time for Miss Loreli after she went down I worked on the cakes for Saturday. Eli umped till it rained and then came home.

Saturday I got up early and worked on them some more and then we headed out to take 3 of them to Ruma for the party and to meet Grandpa Esker for lunch at Mary's...after we got done eating Grandpa and Daddy headed to the Hilgoats tournament to watch some softball and recruit some teams for some of the tournaments down here. We decided to rent some movies...well I did, I have nothing better to really do and for whatever reason I would much rather work on my cakes late at night then during the day..weird I know! I always say I do my best work at midnight! So while Loreli took her afternoon nap I watch Country Strong...omg I cried like a little baby! It was so good and I really didn’t know what to expect! After Loreli woke up I decided to work on the cakes so that we could have the night all to ourselves. She was such a good little girl. Her new thing is to sit on DeJa's bed and talk to her and I think she thinks she is playing with her too! Ha it’s so cute and I wish I would have gotten a picture of it! I finished my cakes and we decided to go and grab a bite at Dic's...it was yummy! Loreli ate like a little piggy! We got home and played for a bit then it was bed time....after Loreli went down I popped in my other movie No Strings Attached....again another great movie! So cute I thought! After the movie was over I went to bed I know Eli would be late so I didn't even bother waiting up for him! Sunday I got up early so that I could go to early service and deliver may cakes afterwards....when we got back from church Daddy was still sleeping....we woke him up so that he would get ready so we could drop off the cakes and grab a bite to eat. After we ate we cursed around for a bit and hit up the park to swing with Loreli...and she loved it. It was so cute she was just a giggling!

 We went home for an afternoon nap and then we met up with Grandpa Robbie and Grandma Tina at the golf course...Loreli had a blast playing with everyone.

I don't think I have ever met a kid that loves golf balls as much as she does!

 After that we went over to Tim and Jenny's house to watch the race. Chad lives next door and all the kids were out so we decided to talk to them for a bit....Loreli played with Ty. Super cute!

I think we are in trouble already! LOL

Daddy walked over to Tim's and I stayed and chatted with the ladies. It was getting late and we had a big day planed for Monday...so I told Daddy it was time to go home!

Bright and early Monday morning we got up and got ready and headed to Grant's Farm. First stop was the Clydesdales, Daddy’s favorite! I am pretty sure we broke the rules when we stepped up on the rocks and petted them, but anything for a picture right! Loreli loves to look at them but she did not want to touch them at all.

We rode the tram and listened to the history of Grant’s farm. Loreli loved it…she was outside and was moving!

Pretty sure we were not listen to the rules....please keep your children seated and in the middle of the tram! HA

 Daddy wanted to feed the goats and thought that Loreli would love it…she was more interested in the bottle then anything….and well Daddy wasn’t paying attention. (He didn’t believe me that she had her lips on the nipple until later that night when we were driving home and I showed him the picture!)

She liked the big turtles…I think because they were right there and she was eye level with them! We walked around and checked out all the other animals….she love the donkeys….well I think it was daddy was dipping her into their pen.

 We finished looking around and headed back to the car. We could tell it was getting to be nap time and it was not gonna be pretty real fast. I don’t think we were out of the parking lot and she was out like a light!

We drove around for a bit so that she could get her nap in….Eli decided that he wanted some Ted Drew’s so he figured out where he was and made a few turns and there we were! Eli got out and got his then I got out and got mine…we were gonna leave her sleeping as long as we could. We started driving after we got our ice cream and she woke up. So Daddy stopped so Loreli could have some. She loved it! We finished and were back on our way again.

We headed to Forest Park…and instead of just going to the Zoo we had to drive around and check out the WHOLE park…thank you Daddy for the tour! HA! Finally I said lets get to the zoo Loreli is hungry and so is Mommy! I had been feeding her animal crackers to keep her content…well when we parked and I got her out I noticed that she had them ever where…up her shorts all over her shirt. So I figured it would be easier to just change cloths and wipe her down with wet wipes! We got done and to the zoo it was.

Love this....like she really can read a map but she insisted that she have one!

 First thing was first we need to get some food. We ate at the café right where you walk in…and I must say that we both got the chef salads and we all three could have ate just 1..it was really good and a ton there. Lesson learned! And it really it wasn’t all that badly priced. We finished and Loreli was still eating….we just let her go to town and when she is done she lets us know because she dumps her plate upside down!

She got a second wind and we were off! It was so much fun to watch her and see how she would react to the animals when they would move. So cute!

 We had traveled through the whole park and we could tell it was time to go home….Loreli was getting antsy and Mommy was TIRED!!! Loreli crashed pretty much as soon as we turned out of the parking lot!

We got home and turned on the oven, frozen pizza for dinner. This Momma isn’t cooking after the long we had. I put Loreli in the tub to get ready for bed, Daddy took DeJa out and Grandpa Tim stopped by. We chatted and played for a bit before supper was ready. Loreil hammed it up for Grandpa like always. She even tried to take the dogs temperature…it was too cute!

 She must have gotten a third wind after she ate because she was all over and getting into everything…but Mommy put a stop to that because it was bed time, past but it was time to lay down! I think she was out in 2 minutes!

Tuesdays I have off so Eli took off so that we could have a long weekend together. We got and had breakfast at CK….Chopper made Loreli a Minnie Mouse.

She loved because there wasn’t much left after she got done. We headed to South County to run some errands and then back home before I had to be at the ball diamonds to work.

It was a long weekend but a great one! Hope everyone had a great one too!
